Welcome to our new Class of 2032 cohort who will be joining us in September 2025. Below is the letter parents would have received via email if offered a place with us for their son/daughter to join Year 7 in September 2025.

Applicaa Data Collection Form

 

All parents offered a place at Avonbourne were sent an email from Applicaa on Monday 10th March with login details to complete our online data form. Please ensure this is completed by Friday 25th April 2025.

Open Mornings

Starting at Avonbourne

We know lots of parents (and students) will begin getting everything together over the next few months ready for September.

Our uniform can be purchased from Stevensons in Southbourne.

Before purchasing any items (including school shoes, school bag and equipment) please refer to our detailed Uniform Policy as although some items may be advertised as 'Back to School' they may not be acceptable at Avonbourne Academy.

Stationery

Students are required to bring a 30cm clear pencil case with them each day with the following items:

Compulsory Items:
30 cm long, clear plastic pencil case
Helix Maths Set (or Compass and Protractor)
30 cm ruler
Translucent reading ruler
Casio FX-83GTX calculator
3 x blue or black pens
1 x HB pencils
4 x coloured highlighters
1 x white board pen
1 x green pen

Cashless Catering

In the Summer term you will be posted a letter which details how to sign up to our Payment Parent Portal.

We are a cashless school and do no accept cash on site.

If students wish to purchase food from our canteens, parents/carers must have added payment to their account. Students will have their biometric finger print taken on either Transition Day in July or on their first day in September.

At morning break we have the following items on sale:

Croissants  50p

Pizza slices made with homemade tomato sauce and cheese 50p 

Bacon Rolls £1.10

Sauage Rolls £1.00

Wraps , Rolls  from £1.00

Bread rolls 30p 

Butter, Jams, Sauces 10p

Drinks from 50p 

At lunch time we have a weekly menu (you can view the current menu) along with subways, jacket potatoes and pasta with a variety of toppings/fillings.
